He is the greatest softball hitter all over the world. Every swing he makes amazed all the players and people around him. He has perfected this softball hitting skills for many years. He is very famous and he is very successful. A lot of aspiring softball players wanted to be just like him. He never misses a single hit. He is the king in the field of softball hitting. But then do you know why he is great? Do you want to know his secret? Here it is, he is a great softball hitter and that is because of his bat. Yes, his bat.
No matter how great you are as a hitter, you will be nothing if you don’t have your bat as your weapon. Come to think of it, if there is really a champion in here, it is the bat.
Bats are used in sports especially in the field of softball. It is the equipment that is used to hit the ball that is thrown by the pitcher. Maybe you already experience to hold and use a bat. But do you know what makes a bat? Do you know that different kinds of bat?
Before you familiarize yourself with the different techniques in softball hitting, it will be wiser if you will familiarize yourself first on the equipments that are used in here. Here are some facts regarding Softball Bats:
Before, softball bats that are made of wood are the most widely used bats but as time goes by, some improvements on bats happened. Now, the choices are not just limited with wood bats. There are now bats that are made with aluminum, composites, and graphite. Each of them has a feature that makes it unique from the others.
Wood bats. They are the original bats. Wood bats are rarely use now because of the introduction of bats that are made of aluminums and different materials. But then there are some who are still enjoying in using wood bats. Usually, wood bats are made from ash. But then this kind of Wood Bat has a disadvantage because it is very light. Maple, bamboos, and oaks are also used to make wood bats. Maple is said to be hard but then Chinese bamboo is harder.
Aluminum bats. The advancement in technology made the production of aluminum bats possible. These bats are said to be better than wood bats according to the experts. They are lighter but then they give the hitter the power to generate greater bat speed and control. Another great thing about it is that they last longer than wood bats. They are stronger and they are hard to break. But then aluminum bats are more expensive than wood bats.
Composites. Glass and carbon are some examples of the composite materials that are used in making bats. Bats that are made of these things usually have a large hitting surface that is why a lot of players love to use them. They are also durable and lightweight.
Graphite. These bats are also sturdy because they are made of strong materials. Many are also using this kind of bat because they said that these bats have a greater hitting zone.
